Version 1.1
v1.1September 14, 2026The workspace now reaches outward. Open jobs come to your dashboard already matched to your master resume, a browser extension saves jobs from any careers page, you can build a resume before you sign up, and the ATS scan itself got a lot more precise. Here is everything that shipped since 1.0.
New
- Job Matches — Your dashboard now lists open jobs matched against the skills, desired titles and locations in your master resume, with a "N of your skills match" count for each one. One click runs the ATS scan against any of them, and the job lands in your applications ready to tailor. Free for every account with a master resume; add your desired titles and locations to sharpen the feed.
- Chrome extension — Save a job from LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor or any company careers page in one click and get its ATS score against your master resume right in the popup. Every saved job appears in your applications, ready to tailor and track.
- Build before you sign up — The full Resume Builder wizard now works without an account. Build your master resume as a guest, preview it, and create your account only when you want the PDF. Your draft comes with you.
- Example resumes for 39 roles — Complete, realistic example resumes for 39 roles in English, German, Spanish and Polish, each showing how many of the role's ATS keywords it contains, why it works and how to adapt it. Open any example in the builder and make it yours.
- Word (.docx) upload — Upload a Word document as well as a PDF, both when you scan and when you import a resume into the builder. A scanned, image-only PDF now gets a clear message and a paste-instead option instead of a dead end.
- Tailor before you scan — Open a saved job and start tailoring right away; an analysis is no longer required first. Saved jobs also show their full description so you can read them before scanning, and a scan you ran before signing up is linked to your imported master resume, so "Tailor for this job" is there the moment you land.
- Projected score — Results now show the score your resume could reach after applying the suggested fixes, whenever the gap is ten points or more, so you can see how much a rewrite is worth before you start one.
- The Resume Keyword Gap Report 2026 — A free research report on what 4,040 real resume-to-job scans reveal: 42% of resumes omit the job title, postings ask for a median of 15 skills, and the biggest gap is vocabulary rather than hard skills. Charts, data and methodology are published under CC BY 4.0 at /research.
- Promotion codes at checkout — Pro checkout now accepts discount codes.
Improved
- More precise scoring — A keyword the resume states word for word is always counted. Either/or requirements ("Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift") no longer count the alternatives you did not use as gaps. Keyword priority follows the posting's real sections, so must-haves and nice-to-haves are no longer mixed up. Abbreviations and plurals match ("customer LTV", "cohort analyses"), jobs listed as "Present" count toward your years of experience, and the job-title fix names the posting's exact title and tells you where to put it.
- Resume Builder — A "How do you want to start?" screen offers import or build-from-scratch up front. A final contacts step covers your name and headline, the PDF is named after you, and a "Start fresh" option lets you begin again.
- Scan form — Next and Analyze stay clickable and tell you what is still missing instead of going grey. Resumes with separator lines are no longer rejected, you get a hint when the resume and job description are pasted into the wrong fields, and a job URL pasted instead of the description is caught before a scan is wasted.
- Signing up with a scan — The scan you ran before creating an account opens in your applications as soon as you are in, the confirmation link lands where you were going, and the sign-up dialog no longer hangs on "Verifying".
- Spanish, German and Polish — The logged-in app, the sign-up and sign-in flow, analysis results and My Applications are now fully translated. The ATS checker, role pages and resume examples are localized too, with region-appropriate advice instead of translated US tips.
- Dashboard — A clearer layout with workspace cards for build, tailor, optimize and track, the extension one click away in the navigation, and the signed-in header rendering immediately on every page instead of after a loading skeleton.
- Resume import — Fewer valid resumes are rejected, and when one is, the message says why.
- Mobile — Pages with wide comparison tables no longer scroll sideways on phones.
Terms & privacy
- Terms of Service 2.1 — Updated to cover the browser extension and to describe accurately what we store and for how long.
- Privacy policy — The privacy page now opens with 22 Skills-specific clauses on resumes, AI processing and data retention, above the general policy.
