Resume analysis and AI processing

To analyse your resume against a job description, rewrite resume sections, and generate cover letters, LinkedIn profile suggestions, and ATS reports, we send the content you provide (resume text, job description text, LinkedIn profile text, job title, and company name) to our AI providers: OpenAI, Inc. (primary) and Anthropic, PBC (used automatically if OpenAI is unavailable). Both are based in the United States; transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses. Under their commercial API terms, neither provider uses this data to train its models, and we do not use your content to train any AI model. We do not send your name, email address, or account identifiers separately, but they are included if they appear in your resume. If you have an account, your resumes, job descriptions, and analyses are stored in your account until you delete them or your account. If you run an analysis without an account, we store the resume text, job description, and results so you can add them to an account within 30 days, and we keep these records after that period. We use stored analyses to produce aggregated, de-identified statistics about resumes and job requirements; published statistics never include resume or job-description text or information that identifies you.

22 Skills in ChatGPT

When you use the 22 Skills plugin in ChatGPT, ChatGPT sends us the resume text and job description you provide so we can calculate a match score. This text is processed by our AI providers, OpenAI and Anthropic. Scoring alone does not store the resume, the job description, or the result. ChatGPT also sends an anonymized user identifier; we store only a one-way hash of it and use it solely to limit the number of free scans. We use your ChatGPT language setting to show results in your language, and we do not use or store other information ChatGPT may send with a request, such as approximate location. If you choose to open the full report on 22skills.com, we store the resume text, job description, and score. The report link works for 30 days, and if you create an account in that time, the report is added to your account. We keep saved reports and use them to produce aggregated statistics about resumes and job requirements; published statistics never include resume or job-description text. OpenAI’s processing of your ChatGPT conversations is governed by OpenAI’s privacy policy.

Browser extension

We offer an optional Chrome browser extension. When you click the extension on a job posting, it reads that page’s job details (job title, company, location, salary and description, and the posting URL) so you can save them to your 22 Skills account, track the application, and run an ATS match analysis against your resume. The extension reads your existing 22 Skills sign-in token to authenticate and stores it locally in your browser. Data captured by the extension is sent only to 22 Skills; when you run an analysis, the job details and your resume are processed by our AI providers as described under “Resume analysis and AI processing”. The extension accesses a web page only when you explicitly activate it.

Account emails

We send service emails about your account (a welcome email when you sign up, confirmations when you upgrade to Pro, cancel your plan, or delete your account, and a notice if a payment fails) through Resend, Inc., based in the United States. Resend receives your email address and the content of these emails.
